So Green, So Grove in the English countryside

I have just tried to book a family week-end at The Babington House near Bath in England, and the first availability for a room with children was…November 2010. Worst than trying to get a table at Noma in Copenhagen! So time for a bit of recycling. Let me explain. Since we’re all in fall mood, wanting fresh air & red leaves, I am sharing here my very first travel article, So Green So Grove. I wrote it in October 2007 for Milk Magazine after we stayed for two nights at The Grove Hotel to do a story on this very family-friendly place.

When in need of some English countryside and luxurious pampering, The Grove is the perfect family hotel  just half an hour away from London by train. It has everything, from an indoor pool just for kids, to a free daycare center, a beautiful spa, a world-famous golf court, bicycles, 3 restaurants with kids menus, you name it…and yet it manages to feel cozy and far away. Click here for the full article in French, and click on the English version for the shorter text.

BozAround tip: Do double check at time of reservation whether there is a corporate event taking place because this can be unpleasant. There are often seminars going on weekdays.
