When Marcelo (not even 4) recently told us I’ve never been to Africa, we almost fell from our chairs. It wasn’t until we were in our 20′s that we actually got a chance to fly all the way there. Discovering Africa is a trip of a lifetime, always a revelation in one way or another. We think he should wait a tiny bit longer.

Meanwhile, there’s a book from photographer Andrew Zuckerman called Creature ABC. It’s a stunning alphabet book displaying his high-resolution wildlife images, a kid friendly version of his original Creature book (click here for the making of). Andrew Zuckerman will be signing it in person this Saturday December 12th at Pomme (4-6pm). Pomme is, by the way, one of the sweetest shop for children in New York. They have 2 locations, a new one in Tribeca and the original one in Dumbo, Brooklyn. The event is in Dumbo.

And because one great thing never comes alone, photographer Davina Zagury will also be exhibiting her new Animal serie at Pomme, 20 close-ups of vintage plastic toys in a natural decor. I have always been a great fan of her work.
Next Saturday afternoon in Brooklyn could be the the prelude to a safari trip in Africa…
