2010 is “Istanbul, European Capital of Culture”. A perfect year to plan a family trip. But I am not sure where to start. There is so much to see and say about this city. So I’ll give a few glimpses here and there. And we’ll take it from there.
Lunch at the cafe / restaurant of Istanbul Modern: excellent food, great design, big windows, and a view of the old city and Topkapi Palace. A perfect way to feel the buzz from a calm place. And lots of interesting modern artists to view in the permanent exhibition. My favorite discovery today: Selma Gurbuz – on folk art and feminism.
