I was doing some travel research for the last week end of May which is a bank holiday in the UK, and I found this article from The Guardian, with 6 ideas of family-friendly hotels and villas to rent in Europe. Also this one focused on stylish places for the family.
Since we just saw How to Train A Dragon this week with Marcelo, I got curious about this place in France called Auberge des Voyajoueurs (you’ll only get the fun of the name if you speak French, sorry. Voyajoueurs literally means traveling-players). They have a theme week called “Will you know how to tame the dragon”. With the help of an “apprenti-sage” journal and a GPS, they organize excursions throughout Bretagne’s rich cultural heritage.
Another one that caught my attention is this club in Greece called Peligoni. More suitable with teenagers, it seems like a good place to relax and do lots of sports too, with a laidback vibe. Private villas to rent, from pretty basic to seriously smart, it’s in perfect isolation on the north-east coast of Zakynthos island. The press calls it a hidden gem. It’s worth checking it out.
