Higher! Higher!

When I was six months pregnant , we went on vacation with Marcelo – then 3 years old – to Langkawi in Malaysia. My most vivid memory is the vertigo I got from going to the highest point of the island by cable car, on top of the canopy. Wind blowing and everything else moving. I remember staring at the Langkawi Sky Bridge, on the verge of passing out.

But the bridge was actually filled with many youngsters thrilled by the adrenaline. When you’re young, you never suffer from vertigo, and you just like to scream Higher! Higher!

So today, I was inspired by this article reviewing some of the most vertigo-inducing places in the world, purposedly to See it from the Top.

From the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden…

From the House on the Rock in Wisconsin USA, which is also a hotel…

From the just-opened Marina Bay Sands in Singapore…

On Top of Tyrol, in the Austrian Alps…

Now, if you ask me where is my favorite spot to see it from the top, it’s simply Primrose Hill, for the most enjoyable view of London. No elevator needed, no cable car needed. Just a picnic blanket and a ball to play in the grass. Ouf.
