You might know me by now. I’d rather get one of these chairs from Cappellini for Disney than take Marcelo and Amalya to Disneyland.

No offense, Mickey Mouse, but I am not a fan of your all-inclusive / in your face / why don’t you buy this while you’re at it entertainment. Sadly, I also know that I might divert from my principles one day, after the children beg me to go because all their friends have already gone. Never say never.

It’s an interesting collaboration between the king of Italian furniture design, Cappellini, and Walt Disney Signature, Disney’s upscale, inspired, non-character, adult lifestyle brand. They recently unveiled the five limited-edition pieces at Milan Furniture Fair. Each is designed by a different artist. Mickey’s ribbon stool is fun and iconic, as imagined by Japanese artist Nendo. I particularly fancy it. The version of French star-designer Christophe Pillet is tres chic in an all white-leather embossed with a subtle geometric pattern of Mickey’s silhouette.
These collector’s pieces can be ordered from your local Cappellini shop.
