You meet children wherever you go in South East Asia. And even more so in Cambodia. They’re often happy to pose, for a candy, a pencil or a coin. Sometimes just for a smile.
I found this young girl beautiful, she was happy to pose in one on the temples near Angkor Wat.
I have been told that 90% of Cambodian children go to school (if true, it would be a happy statistic for a change), that Cambodia has one of the highest concentration in the world of NGO’s specialized on children care. And as a result, children are overall quite well taken care of in the country, rarely going hungry.
If you would like to share information about trustworthy and hardworking NGOs in Cambodia, please do so on the blog. I will be happy to know about them.

I know that Handicap International and their pluridisciplinary arm Action Nord Sud used to be very active in Cambodia because I used to translate for them, and I loved it!
