Portraits de Ville is a beautiful collection of travel books. But not just another travel book.
Published since 2007, each of the 17 issues (and growing) gives carte blanche to a photographer on one city. There are no texts, only printed photography and lots of blank spaces to take notes. An ideal tool for daydreaming. A beautiful travel companion.
The latest one is about Marseilles (snapshot above), spotlight of the year for being the European cultural capital 2013. The photographs are all from Marseilles-born Olivier Amsellem. I am hoping that we will be able to spend lots of time in Marseilles this summer when we are on vacation in the region.
The next one coming is about Buenos Aires, as seen by Jacques Borgetto.
