2015 was such a strange year here and I am glad it’s behind. I heard it’s been the same for a lot of people…something about the alignment of the planets?!
I’ve been absent from BozAround for way too long and I’ve truly missed it. All my time and efforts went into moodAway recently and the site finally went live. Being a mother of 3 + bringing to life an idea for a travel startup has been a challenging journey, I could write a whole book about it! I’ll write more about the story behind moodAway in another post but if you’d like to check it out in the meantime, and send me feedback – good bad ugly! – I’ll be eternally grateful *_*
I love writing on BozAround. However, I also don’t want to be subject to posting regularly when I am not inspired. In truth, I have never approached this blog as a money-making platform but rather as a honesty box where I enjoy dropping all my souvenirs and tips when we travel around. I have several post ideas under my sleeve. Will you tell me if there are some that you particularly enjoy or dislike?
2016, some of the stories coming up:
If you’re thinking of a family ski trip, I’ll tell you all about our time with friends in Val d’Isere (French Alps), and at Haus Hirt in the picturesque Austrian Alps. Oh, and our epic 24h on the road stuck because of a snow storm, on our way to Serre-Chevalier. Stay tuned *_*
If you’re looking for some sunny escapes, I’ll be sharing our desperate escapade to the wonderfully chilled part of Jamaica called Port Antonio. And our lazy summer in Provence last year. And our week end in Porto a couple months ago for a sweet friend’s birthday. Stay tuned *_*
If you need some green pastures, maybe you’ll like the story of our week end in Daylesford in picture-perfect Oxfordshire (UK). Or staying in an English ruined castle in the cold winter. Stay tuned *_*
And if you’re looking for arts & culture, there was our w/e in Venice during the biennale. And a few days with my BFFs in Antwerp, which turned out a bit unexpected. Oh, and another w/e in Stockholm, also with BFFs, and also a bit unexpected. Or visiting the Henry Moore sculpture park with the children. Stay tuned *_*
Oh..it was Marcelo’s 10th birthday last Sunday!! His smile was so beautiful when he heard that his gift was a father & son week end in Barcelona to watch a football match with Neymar. I am challenging Ceki to report on that with a post (Ceki..are you reading?!). And for Amalya’s birthday this year, we will go on a mother daughter week-end in Sevilla (she loves flamenco).
I don’t buy much for our children throughout the year, but I do believe in the fact that memories of trips shared as a family will have a long-lasting imprint on their beautiful little minds.
So happy to be back here writing. Hoping to read you soon too.
Bring it on 2016!
with much love,
