These are some of the books and magazines that I am currently daydreaming with.

A new travel magazine

YOLO is a new magazine out of New York, conceived and published by Yolanda Edwards. She was the creative director of Conde Nast Traveler until it closed down (sadly) a few months ago. We knew she’d be on to pretty things in her new life.

Yolanda once said in an interviewI am a huge fan of BozAround since I’m pretty obsessed with travel, and I love how Vanessa weaves in so much of her personality“. I am still pinching myself.

A new travel book

The two founders of Fathom Away have published a very well documented book about destinations + inspiration. It’s full of addresses you want to bookmark, structured around themes like Giving Back and Going Off-Grid. One to keep.

A new art book

danish photographer, KYSTLAND

The image below, by photographer Ulrik Hasemann, is from a book titled Coastland . It’s brought a smile to my face all week long since I cam across it. I’d love to get my hands on a copy of the book: a photographic journey along the coasts of Denmark.

A new book about crafts

Thirteen years ago, when I moved from New York to bring our little business of childrens trade shows called Bubble to London, I met Tabara N’Diaye, freshly out of university and out of the Eurostar. She helped me launch the shows and grow them, and she went onto many other adventures after that.

I am so proud and happy to see her publish her first book about Baskets, inspired by her latest venture La Basketry. It’s an hommage to the ancient Senegalese traditions of craft making and basket weaving, with easy tutorials and inspiring images. Bravo Tabara xx

And on my bedside table, I also have: a pillow lavender spray, some CBD oil (recently discovered – from California!), some cream for cuticles, 100 love sonnets by Pablo Neruda and the memoir Educated by Tara Westaver, which I just finished reading and can’t stop thinking about.

What about you? Any new book that will take us near and far away?
